It was an accidental homage, but Mizzou quarterback Brady Cook — a St. Louis native — threw a stunning arch of a pass while standing, more or less, 3,140 feet from the actual Arch.
On Mizzou’s third play of Saturday’s home game — played at The Dome at America’s Center — Cook’s parabolic pass to Marquis Johnson for 76 yards gave Mizzou its first touchdown.
And for much of the night, Cook cooked.
In the Missouri Tigers’ 34-27 win against the Memphis Tigers, the redheaded former Red Devil from Chaminade was 18-for-25 for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
