Mizzou WBB falls in embarrasing double-digit road loss to Vermont

In a season where Mizzou women’s basketball needs to climb the ladder from rock-bottom, they have fallen on their face on the first rung. The Tigers laid an egg in the first game of the 2024-25 season, plagued by familiar problems in a 62-46 road loss to “mid-major” Vermont.

The Tigers started hot, scoring the first six points on the road. The first four came from transfer Laniah Randle, making an impact in her first career start as a Tiger.

Alongside Randle in the starting five was Grace Slaughter and Ashton Judd as the usual suspects. Fellow transfer Nyah Wilson started at the point, and down low Angelique Ngalakulondi started after coming off the bench during the exhibition game.
