After Mizzou Volleyball seemed to be cruising towards a dominant victory, Texas A&M completed a massive comeback and reverse swept (25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 21-25, 12-15) the Tigers.
Mizzou began the match in disarray, quickly falling behind 7-1 to the Aggies after struggling with serve receive. Ellee Stinson secured back-to-back aces for A&M during the run, targeting the usually rock-solid Maya Sands on both serves.
The Tigers slowed the bleeding, but still trailed 11-5 when a kill by Janet deMarrais sent Jordan Iliff to the service line. One of the best servers in collegiate volleyball then went on a run which even stunned the match’s broadcasters, recording seven aces during a 10-0 to give her team a five-point lead.
