Led by Sophie Cunningham’s 24 points, the Missouri women’s basketball team moved to two games over .500 in the SEC with Sunday’s 69-55 win at Auburn. It was Robin Pingeton’s 100th victory as Mizzou’s head coach. She improved to 100-85 in her sixth season.
Cunningham shot 6 of 9 from the field and 10 of 11 from the free throw line to post her highest-scoring game in league play and highest overall since scoring 27 against Lamar on Dec. 20. The freshman guard also pulled down 10 rebounds for her third career double-double.
With two regular-season games left against Kentucky and Vanderbilt, Mizzou improved to 21-6 and 8-6 in the SEC.
