At Friday’s Show Me Showdown, junior Katharine Ross found her times around where they were in the middle of last season.
“This is a really good place to start out at,” she said.
Ross opened up her season with a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:02.71, just one of many strong swims for the Tigers in their opening meet.
Eleven in-state teams traveled to Mizzou for the meet. The Tiger men scored 682 points, winning the meet with ease over second place Missouri State (365 points). On the women’s side, the Tigers scored 711 points, far ahead of Drury University, which scored 346.
