Mizzou suspends starting safety Kaleb Prewett

COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri has indefinitely suspended senior safety Kaleb Prewett for an undisclosed violation of team policy.

"We will continue to gather additional information and work with campus and department leadership to determine his future in our program," team spokesman Chad Moller said.

Prewett, a returning starter at strong safety, transferred to Missouri from Kansas State after the 2015 season and started in every game last season. He began the season at strongside linebacker, then moved to strong safety for the season's final seven games. He was MU's fourth-leading tackler with 60 stops and finished with an interception and two pass break-ups.
