Mizzou survives A&M rally, extends win streak to five

COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri’s three-game losing streak back in January started with a flat performance at Texas A&M, when Cuonzo Martin’s freshman forwards looked overmatched and his high-scoring veteran guards couldn’t shoot straight if their scholarship checks depended on an open bucket.

That Missouri team has gone missing the last two weeks. Now officially the hottest team in the Southeastern Conference, the Tigers extended their league-best winning streak to five games with Tuesday’s 62-58 white-knuckled victory over those same Aggies at Mizzou Arena.
