COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri’s backfield was impenetrable the last two seasons in Josh Heupel’s up-tempo spread offense. Somehow, though, the Tigers’ offensive linemen have gone mostly unrecognized when it comes to postseason accolades. Opponents rarely touched quarterback Drew Lock or his running backs behind the line of scrimmage. Has the offensive line been that good? Or was the minimal damage all a product of Heupel’s offensive system and play-calling? This year figures to clear up the answer.
