COLUMBIA, MO. • When Missouri practices for the first time this spring Sunday the Tigers will have a new look along the defensive front, with three valuable seniors now working toward NFL careers in tackles Terry Beckner Jr. and Walter Palmore, starters in every game last season, and weakside linebacker Terez Hall, a three-year starter.
The Tigers have readymade replacements for all three, but again the concern should be along the edges of Barry Odom’s four-man line. Last year’s defensive ends accounted for just 6.5 of the team’s 27 sacks and 14.5 of the team’s 73 tackles for loss.
