Under first-year coach Larissa Anderson the Missouri softball team has extended its streak of NCAA tournament appearances to 13.
But the postseason doesn’t offer an easy road for the Tigers, who were chosen for the Los Angeles Regional, hosted by UCLA, the bracket’s No. 2 overall seed. The complete 64-team NCAA bracket was released Sunday night.
Mizzou (32-23) will open play in the double-elimination regional Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Cal State Fullerton on ESPNU. Anderson's Tigers, picked last in the SEC preseason poll, were the surprise team of the conference, finishing tied for sixth with a 12-12 SEC record.
