Back to the Missouri Tigers Newsfeed

Mizzou soccer had a nice weekend, and the Tiger defense is still great. Life is good, right?

From here, the Tigers enter their bye week having gone 40 possessions without a touchdown, dating back to the fourth quarter against South Carolina on Oct. 3. Mizzou failed to convert all 14 of its third-down chances Saturday. In their last three losses, the Tigers have moved the chains just three times on 41 third downs.

Saturday’s latest touchdown drought marked the first time since 1937 that Missouri hasn’t scored a touchdown in three consecutive games. Don Faurot was the head coach that year. Paul Christman was a season away from becoming the starting quarterback. In other words, these Tigers are chasing the wrong kind of history.
