Mizzou slips to No. 9 seed, draws Oklahoma in NCAA first round

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri is dancing again.

The Tigers’ wait to learn their NCAA Tournament opponent and seeding didn’t take long: Their game was the first unveiled during the NCAA selection show, as the Tigers slipped to a No. 9 seed — lower than nearly all the projections — and will open Saturday against No. 8 seed Oklahoma, an old Big Eight rivalry renewed.

The winner moves to the second round to likely face the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, unbeaten Gonzaga. The nation’s No. 1 team opens against the winner of a play-in game between Norfolk State and Appalachian State.
