COLUMBIA, MO. • Cuonzo Martin believes the two four-star players Missouri added in the early signing period can add another dimension to his program next season. As expected, Vashon High guard Mario McKinney and forward Tray Jackson of Michigan submitted their national letters of intent Wednesday, becoming the first pieces of Martin’s 2019 recruiting class.
Jackson, a 6-8 Detroit native, was pledged to Minnesota until last month. McKinney, an All-Metro local standout with Mizzou family ties, committed to Martin’s staff in September.
“They’re guys who can make plays off the dribble,” Martin said Wednesday before leaving Columbia for the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.
