Mizzou rewards Odom's staff with new contracts; defensive coordinator gets 32 percent raise

As expected when Missouri football coach Barry Odom agreed to a new contract last fall, the bulk of his coaching staff received new contracts, too. Odom’s staff salary pool for his 10 assistant coaches increased by nearly 8 percent.

Effective March 1, nine of Odom’s 10 full-time coaches received new two- or three-year deals plus raises. Offensive coordinator Derek Dooley, defensive coordinator Ryan Walters, defensive line coach Brick Haley and offensive line coach Brad Davis all agreed to new three-year contracts through the 2021 season. The new deals expire on Feb. 28, 2022.

Walters and Davis both received significant raises, seeing their salaries jump by 32 and 28 percent, respectively.
