Mizzou reshifts focus for season's final stretch

COLUMBIA, MO.• With no tangible rewards waiting for Missouri football at the end of the regular season, Barry Odom’s team has to find other incentives to get through these next three weeks.

Saturday’s 31-21 loss at South Carolina dropped the Tigers to 2-7 and eliminated them from bowl consideration. They join seven other power conference teams that won’t be part of bowl season: Virginia (2-7), Iowa State (1-8), Kansas (1-8), Michigan State (2-7), Rutgers (2-7), Oregon State (2-7) and Arizona (2-7).

To be locked out of the postseason this early in November is a new experience for every player on Missouri’s roster.
