COLUMBIA, MO. • Aside from the obvious “Cuonzo Martin faces his former team” storyline, there’s plenty more to watch in Wednesday’s Missouri-Tennessee matchup at Mizzou Arena.
The Vols (12-4, 3-2 SEC) have won three straight games. Their KenPom rating (No. 13) is the second-highest among any team on Mizzou's schedule, second-only to No. 12 West Virginia. Tennessee has the second-highest RPI ranking of any team in the SEC at No. 12. A road win would vault the Vols even higher, which makes this game every bit as crucial for the Tigers, who can't afford a home loss in the SEC pennant race.
