Mizzou picks up verbal commitment from 3-star safety

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri picked up its second verbal commitment for the 2026 recruiting class Friday in three-star safety D'Montae Tims.

Tims, who hails from the Tampa, Florida, area, committed to the Tigers after an unofficial visit to MU this week. Vanderbilt was also in the mix for the athlete who also has running back experience.

Tims stands 6-1, 195 pounds and attends Armwood High School. He's ranked as the No. 75 safety in the class by 247Sports.

He joins four-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr. as Mizzou's verbal commits for the 2026 cycle, which will heat up this summer as recruits take official visits.
