The Bulldogs arrived at Mizzou Arena as one of the weakest offensive teams in the country by many measurements.
They were 315th out of 351 teams in shooting percentage at 39%, even weaker with their 3-point shooting (24.7%) and also not good from the free-throw line (62.4%). Only four teams were averaging more turnovers than their 17.4 per game.
That wasn’t the team that showed up in the first half Wednesday night, but the Bulldogs reverted to their troublesome ways in time for Mizzou to pull away for an 82-59 win.
The Tigers (4-2) trailed 29-13 before outscoring the Bulldogs 48-10, a stretch that included a 22-0 run after the game was tied at 39 in the opening minutes of the second half.
