Mizzou offense gets a boost with Blanton's return

COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri’s depleted tight end position isn’t back to full strength but a reinforcement is on the way. Senior Kendall Blanton is expected to be available for Saturday’s game at Tennessee after he missed the last three games against Kentucky, Florida and Vanderbilt with a sprained knee. A valuable blocker for the Tigers, Blanton had 15 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown through the first seven games.

Blanton went through pregame drills before Saturday’s win over Vandy but never got in the game. That should change Saturday when the Tigers (6-4, 2-4 SEC) play the Volunteers (5-5, 2-4) in Knoxville, Tenn.
