COLUMBIA, Mo. • There was never much doubt that Terry Beckner Jr. would play as a freshman for Missouri this fall. With depth concerns along the defensive line, the defensive tackle from East St. Louis had the size to seize an immediate role regardless how he performed during preseason camp.
Then August arrived and the five-star recruit, 6-4 and 300 pounds, impressed everyone in his path.
“Kid’s going to be a stud, man,” Missouri center Evan Boehm said. “Kid’s really good. He’s got quick hands and great feet. He’s going to be a special player here for years.
