COLUMBIA, MO. • An unexpected voice piped up last fall when Missouri held a players-only meeting after a dreadful loss to Purdue. Teammates later revealed that freshman linebacker Aubrey Miller, still without a single college tackle, was the most outspoken player as the Tigers voiced their frustrations.
“I don’t look at college as being different from high school,” he said after Sunday’s practice. “Everything is football. It’s just what I’m used to, man. You’ve got to turn things around. It’s not about talking about things. It’s about having energy. You’ve got to be motivated. You’ve got to be a leader.
