Coming off a bye week following a 4-0 start, Mizzou fans (and yours truly) have found plenty of nits to pick with the way the Tigers have performed in their early season match ups. While blow outs against Murray State and Buffalo featured a shutdown defense and hyper-efficient offense, the Tigers’ most recent two games have caused a stir with penalty problems, a lack of a downfield passing attack and a defense that features one or two blown coverages a game.
Despite these visible (and potentially concerning) issues, one statistic stands out among all the rest.
