Is it still too early to put a positive spin on last night? Probably, right?

Other than the defensive performance, which was imperfect but solid, there aren’t many good things to take away from Mizzou narrowly scraping a double-overtime win out over Vanderbilt. The offense, other than Nate Noel, was poor. The coaching was poor. The kicking was poor. The opponent... was actually also poor! Like, Vanderbilt didn’t play all that well, and still managed to take Mizzou to double-overtime! Bad, bad stuff!

So call this reflection a point of emphasis rather than a positive spin: Mizzou needed to have a game like that.
