Mizzou men's basketball wins first SEC game in 669 days, beating LSU

COLUMBIA, Mo. — For the first time in more than 660 days, Missouri men’s basketball won a Southeastern Conference game.

Mizzou ended its streak of 21 consecutive SEC losses Tuesday in its first home game of the league slot, beating a sloppy Louisiana State team 83-67.

The victory is the program’s first over a conference foe since downing Tennessee in the 2023 SEC Tournament that came at the end of coach Dennis Gates’ first season on the job. The Tigers lost to Alabama to end that tournament run, lost 19 league games last season and then their opener this season to Auburn to round out the streak.
