Missouri men’s basketball was stuck in the Renaissance, waiting.

The Tigers, who picked up their first Southeastern Conference victory of the season on Tuesday against Louisiana State, did so after spending part of their weekend snowed in near the St. Louis airport due to the winter storm that trundled across Missouri, shuttering roads and airports.

It’s a saga comparable to "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," the 1987 travel-chaos comedy that spends a few scenes at St. Louis Lambert International Airport — where Mizzou spent a couple of nights.

As MU was playing its Saturday afternoon contest at Auburn, the winter storm forecast to sweep through Missouri blew its way into Columbia.
