COLUMBIA, Mo. — There’s no time for a sophomore slump.
Missouri men’s basketball coach Dennis Gates will navigate a tougher nonconference slate as he guides the Tigers into his second year at the helm of a program that was something of a surprise package last season.
His sizable roster has turned over a handful of veterans but includes several transfers and five freshmen, a group that will need to mesh quickly for Mizzou to recapture the success it found a year ago.
“Our schedule that we put together is not an easy schedule by any means,” Gates said.
