COLUMBIA, Mo. — It’s not quite now-or-never for Missouri men’s basketball to get a win in Southeastern Conference play, but it does seem as though the Tigers’ next two games present a window best labeled as now or at a significantly less likely time.
Mizzou’s next two opponents have only one SEC win between them, making them the sort of prey who might be more susceptible to a Missouri program that could, to put it lightly, use a win.
“We’re looking for a one-game winning streak,” MU coach Dennis Gates said. “That’s what we’re looking for.”
The Tigers, of course, have enjoyed just a single one-game winning streak over the past eight weeks, which came in the form of a nonconference domination of Central Arkansas.
