COLUMBIA, Mo. — One of these years Missouri might actually get to play an old rival in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, but until then the Tigers will settle for far less juicy matchups against teams that helped replace them in the last round of conference realignment.
After playing at West Virginia in the annual 10-game interconference showdown last year, No. 12 Mizzou hosts Texas Christian University on Saturday, another program that joined the Big 12 after the Tigers and Texas A&M departed for the SEC. (Good luck stifling that yawn, Tiger fans.)
The previous four seasons, MU was among the four SEC teams left out of the one-day event.
