One win down, maybe one more to go.
While the Gamecocks are done for the season, the eyes in Hoover now turn to the Tigers, who will send freshman righthander Tanner Houck to the mound against Vanderbilt on Wednesday.
As for the Tigers’ postseason chances? I still feel like Missouri needs another win or two in Hoover to feel comfortable. Missouri does now have 16 total wins against SEC competition this spring, which is really impressive. But the Tigers also still have poor marks vs. RPI Top 25, 50 and 100 teams, and also possess an unimpressive RPI of 51, a number that certainly would improve several spots with a win over the Commodores, who swept them in Nashville a few weeks ago.
