COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football beat out some other Southeastern Conference powers for its latest transfer.
Khalil Jacobs, a linebacker who played his first two seasons at South Alabama, committed to Mizzou out of the transfer portal. He picked the Tigers over Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi — the schools he visited in addition to MU.
Jacobs will reunite with Missouri defensive coordinator Corey Batoon, who held the same role at South Alabama. But Mizzou wasn't the only school with a former coach advantage: new Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack was the Jaguars' head coach.
During his 13 appearances and three starts last season, Jacobs was productive on the ball.
