COLUMBIA, MO. • The Missouri softball program has chosen a new leader. Larissa Anderson, coming off a four-year run as Hofstra’s head coach, will be formally introduced as Mizzou’s new head coach next month, the school announced Saturday. Anderson was 130-73-1 as Hofstra’s head coach with two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Anderson agreed to a five-year contract with a base salary of $185,000 with a staff salary pool of $166,000 for two assistants.
This will be Anderson’s first job at a major conference program. She spent 13 seasons as a Hofstra assistant coach and previously coached at LIU Post and Gannon University, where she was an All-American outfielder as a senior in 1997.
