COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri's football uniforms change by the week, to the annoyance of some traditionalists among the fans, but Saturday's wardrobe is especially unique.
To commemorate Veteran's Day, Saturday's game against Vanderbilt is earmarked Military Appreciation Day. Each Mizzou player will wear the name of one of the 117 former MU students who died while serving in World War I. Those 117 names are memorialized on the MU campus at the Memorial Union building, etched into the archways of the tower erected in 1926.
Mizzou unveiled the uniform plans on social media on Friday with a video featuring senior defensive end Nate Anderson, who attended New Mexico Military Academy before coming to MU last year.
