Mizzou gymnastics advances to NCAA Championship finals for first time

It was close, again, and the Tigers sweated it out on the balance beam. But another tooth-and-nail fight over a fraction of a point saw Missouri gymnastics finish second in its NCAA Championship semifinal Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mizzou beat Florida by one tenth for that second spot, which comes with a berth in Saturday’s four-team finals.

That will give the Tigers their best-ever finish regardless of what happens in the finals. They’re making their third-ever appearance at the NCAA Championships and will compete in the final for the first time.
