Missouri freshman guard C.J. Roberts plans to transfer at the semester break, his father Craig Roberts confirmed Thursday. Roberts has sat out MU's first nine games and wants to move to a program where he can gain more playing time, Craig Roberts said in a text message. The Kansas City Star reported the news first Thursday.
Missouri's coaching staff decided at the start of the season to redshirt Roberts this year to preserve his year of eligibility. He did not join the team for its trip to Orlando for last month's Advo are Invitational. He was on the bench in street clothes for Tuesday night's home game against Miami-Ohio.
