Mizzou freshman star Crockett arrested for marijuana possession

COLUMBIA, MO.• Hours after setting Missouri's freshman rushing record, running back Damarea Crockett was arrested on Mizzou's campus for alleged possession of marijuana.

University of Missouri Police Major Brian Weimer said an officer was checking campus parking lots early Sunday morning and spotted a vehicle at Lot AV 14 off Ashland Gravel Road on the east part of Mizzou's campus at 4:17 a.m. In the vehicle, Crockett was found with marijuana and was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 35 grams.

Crockett was taken into MUPD headquarters where he was processed and released on signature summons.
