Almost everyone knows the feeling of not getting something you want for Christmas.
There’s nothing necessarily wrong with this. As a kid, it builds character. As an adult, it’s a firm reminder that things are impermanent and happiness is more often found in good company and experience than stuff. Still, there’s a sort of disappointment that’s hard to shake in wanting something so badly and then not getting it.
I wonder if Eli Drinkwitz is feeling the same way this morning. As he and the players prepare for the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, the staff is surely still on the ‘crootin trail trying to close on some future Tigers.
