COLUMBIA, Mo. — All it took was No. 19 Missouri to play its first home game of 2021 for Mark Smith to relocate his jump shot. The senior guard snapped out of his funk Tuesday, scoring 15 of his 18 points in the first half in an 81-70 romp over South Carolina at Mizzou Arena.
Smith came into Tuesday’s game shooting just 22.2% (4 of 18) from 3-point range since the start of Southeastern Conference play, but he connected on three shots from deep in a six-minute spurt to close out the first half as the Tigers cruised to a comfortable victory.
