COLUMBIA, S.C. • Missouri’s 3-point shooting kept the Tigers close over and over again Sunday at South Carolina, but close was all they’d get in their first conference road game.
In a contest delayed a day thanks to Friday’s snowstorm, Mizzou couldn’t overcome an early double-digit deficit and ran out of nails to claw back in an 85-75 loss at Colonial Life Arena.
The Tigers fell to 9-5 and 0-2 in Southeastern Conference games, while the Gamecocks continued their early January surge with another SEC win, improving to 8-7 and 3-0 in the conference. Mizzou next hosts Alabama on Wednesday.
