COLUMBIA, Mo. • Spring practices for Missouri’s offensive linemen looked like a game of musical chairs, at all but one position. Evan Boehm is entrenched as the Tigers’ starting center for the third straight season. All around him, the coaches looked for answers in their choreographed chaos.
Guards and tackles switched sides and rotated from position to position in a two-month audition. Once the music stopped with the spring’s Black and Gold scrimmage, O-line coach A.J. Ricker hoped to have a clear vision of his starting five for the season.
“The cool thing about Coach Ricker,” Boehm said, “is he’s going to play the five best guys, whoever they are.
