All in one night, the Missouri basketball team won a road game Tuesday and solved its Ole Miss problem.
Go figure.
The Tigers hadn’t been competitive in four true road games this season — losing by an average of 32.3 points on their opponents’ home floor — and arrived in Oxford, Mississippi, just 1-7 all-time on Ole Miss’ court. But a scorching shooting night inside the 3-point arc and relentless halfcourt defense against the undermanned Rebels delivered the Tigers’ first road win of the season, 78-53 at the Pavilion at Ole Miss.
It matched MU’s most lopsided SEC victory in nearly three years.
