Undermanned and on the road, the Missouri Tigers managed to grab another double-digit lead on a Southeastern Conference opponent only to watch it crumble in the second half.
Florida held off Mizzou 64-60 in Gainesville after the Tigers led by 12 points with 17 minutes left. It’s the Tigers’ fourth conference loss when they’ve failed to protect a double-digit lead. MU fell to 12-14 and 3-11 in SEC games and next head to Mississippi State on Tuesday.
Playing without sophomore guard Mark Smith, still recovering from a left foot/ankle injury that’s now sidelined him for seven games, the Tigers didn’t get much from center Jeremiah Tilmon, who again fouled out and was hardly a factor in the second half.
