Mizzou basketball players Gant, Woods cited for drug paraphernalia

COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri basketball players Jakeenan Gant and Russell Woods turned themselves into Columbia police today and were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, the result of a police raid at their residence last month.

The reserve forwards were suspended for Saturday’s game at Alabama, coach Kim Anderson announced Friday. Their status will be re-evaluated next week.

On Jan. 15, the day Gant and Woods traveled with their teammates to the next day’s game at South Carolina, police raided their apartment at 3576 Rock Quarry Road as part of a home invasion robbery investigation, looking for electronics allegedly stolen by their roommate, Koran Ward, in an armed robbery Dec.
