Mizzou basketball guard Kobe Brown hit a 3-pointer in the first 10 seconds of Monday night’s game at the Sprint Center, and for a second, it looked like the Tigers would find some offense in this one. But a second is not long.
The Tigers went cold for the next five minutes, and were cold for most of the night, and the home-state team lost to Butler 63-52 in the first day of the Hall of Fame Classic. Mizzou basketball was evenly matched against its opponent, both coming in as two of the better defensive teams to start the season.
