COLUMBIA, MO. • Visiting with media on Tuesday at Mizzou Arena, Missouri basketball coach Cuonzo Martin broke some news: The Tigers will replace their home game against Utah with a visit from Temple.
Temple was 17-16 last season with notable nonconference wins over SEC champion Auburn, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Clemson and finished 8-10 in the American Athletic Conference. The Owls lost in the first round of the NIT and finished No. 59 in the RPI.
Utah recently asked Mizzou if it could push back this year’s game to the 2019-20 season, leaving the Tigers short a home game for the coming campaign.
