COLUMBIA, Mo. • The Missouri baseball program will add South Alabama assistant Jerry Zulli to fill out its coaching vacancy, a source confirmed Friday. D1baseball.com’s Kendall Rogers first tweeted about the hire Thursday.
Mizzou has not officially announced Zulli’s hiring as of Friday. He would replace assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kerrick Jackson, who announced after the Tigers' season that he's leaving the staff.
Zulli has deep ties to the South and could boost the Tigers' recruiting efforts in the Southeastern Conference. He’s a New Orleans native and before joining South Alabama’s staff in Mobile spent seven years on the baseball staff at Memphis.
