Mizzou Baseball swept by top-ranked LSU

Mizzou Baseball again fell below .500 this weekend after three losses to LSU in Baton Rouge. The (black and gold) Tigers pushed the Bayou Bengals Saturday but lost by large margins on Friday and Sunday facing the nation’s No. 1 team.

FRIDAY

LSU welcomed Mizzou to the Pelican State Friday with a 12-5 drubbing, breaking the game open with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Mizzou took a brief lead in the top of the second when Jackson Lovich hit a home run beyond the right field wall, also bringing around Brock Daniels after his single the prior at bat for a 2-0 advantage.
