Mizzou Baseball sweeps doubleheader with Evansville

Mizzou Baseball put together a thundering response after losing its series opener to Evansville, sweeping a doubleheader Saturday against the Purple aces. The Tigers won each game by six or more runs, including a run rule in the second game.

Mizzou jumped out to an early lead in game one and never looked back, winning one of its lower scoring contests of the season 6-2.

The Tigers struck early for the second straight game, putting three runs on the board in the bottom of the first.

Evansville starter Owen Byberg walked Kaden Peer and Gehrig Goldbeck, placing runners on first and second with one out for Cayden Nicoletto.
