Mizzou Baseball survives early scare, beats Lindenwood

Mizzou Baseball found its groove late Tuesday after trailing for the first half of the home opener against Lindenwood, dispatching the Lions 14-10 on the strength of a five hit game by Brady Picarelli.

Victor Christal took the mound for Mizzou, a true freshman who was responsible for five of ten runs in the Tigers’ 10-2 loss to Alabama State over the weekend. The second game of his collegiate career was worse.

Christal lasted just 0.1 innings, giving up two hits and four runs before the game’s second out.

Kam Edwards led off the game with a single for the Lions, then stole second base before Tyler Thompson walked.
