Last season, Mizzou Baseball swept Tennessee in Columbia to start SEC play. It was a different story this time around as the Tigers traveled on the road to Knoxville against an elite Volunteers team who came into this series as the No. 3 team in the country.
Thursday’s 10-1 Loss:
The Volunteers offense had early success against starting pitcher Ryan Magdic (who is usually a reliever) and jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings. After that, the game felt pretty much over at that point.
Missouri’s pitching staff simply couldn’t keep the ball in the yard.
