It’s been a rough go so far on the diamond for Steve Bieser’s club. After an 0-4 weekend in the Frisco Classic against Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma, and Arizona, Mizzou Baseball desperately needed a win to stop the bleeding. And they did, against an in-state opponent.
With a 2-1 victory over SLU, the Tigers snapped their five-game losing streak to improve to 4-9 on the season.
Freshman pitcher Ian Lohse picked up his first win of his college career as he threw 3.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. Brandt Belk scored the game winning run in the Top of the 7th inning on a wild pitch.
